Privacy
Short version: your chats, your typing and your profile stay on your phone. The only things that leave it are sticker downloads, anonymous data if you opt in, and stickers you choose to add.
What stays on your phone
- Chat reading. Off until you turn it on and approve Android's screen-capture prompt. The keyboard reads the chat on the phone (on-device text recognition) to understand the message you're replying to. Screenshots and the text read from them are never saved and never sent. They live in memory for a short time and are cleared when you close the keyboard, pause or stop.
- Typing. What you type, your personal words, autocorrect learning and your clipboard history (in memory for up to an hour unless you pin a clip) stay on the phone.
- Your profile. "My Vibe" settings, favourites, hidden stickers and what the app learns from your picks stay on the phone. Sticker and reply ranking runs there too.
- Private fields. Password fields and apps you mute are never read.
- Sticker images are streamed into memory, not saved. The one you send is kept in the app's cache for up to 24 hours so the chat app can attach it.
You can delete everything the app keeps from Settings › Privacy & data.
What the app sends
- Sticker downloads. The app downloads the sticker catalogue and images from our server. These requests carry no account or device ID.
- Voice typing uses your phone's speech recogniser. If that recogniser works online, its provider (often Google) handles the audio under its own policy.
- Anonymous data, only if you opt in. Off by default. When on, the app sends the other person's latest message after removing personal details (numbers, emails, UPI IDs, links, handles, codes and names), the IDs of the stickers it suggested, the one you picked or hid, and the app version. The server adds the date (day only). It contains no account, device, contact or app name. It's never sent in incognito, private fields or muted apps. We use it to improve which stickers fit which messages. Turn it off any time in Settings › Privacy.
- Like any website, our server sees your IP address when the app connects. It's held in memory for about a minute to stop abuse and isn't stored.
What the extension and this website send
- When you press + Stikr, the extension sends only that image (resized to a small WebP), the link of the page it came from, and your Google account ID.
- Signing in with Google gives us a token we check with Google. We keep only your Google account ID, never your email or name.
- This website stores your sign-in token only in this browser tab (session storage). It's removed when you sign out or close the tab. The site sets no cookies of its own and has no analytics, trackers or ads. It remembers your light or dark theme choice in this browser. Google's sign-in button runs under Google's privacy policy.
Review of the stickers you add
- Every image is checked automatically: Microsoft Azure AI Content Safety scores it for sexual, hateful, violent and self-harm content, and a Cloudflare Workers AI vision model reads its caption, mood and tags. Some images go to a person for review.
- Known child sexual abuse material is blocked by Cloudflare's CSAM Scanning Tool and reported to NCMEC.
- Approved stickers become public in the community sticker pack that every app user can download. The source link is kept for credit and takedowns.
- Images waiting for review are visible only to you and our reviewers. Rejected images are deleted. Your dashboard keeps the record (status, dates and reason).
Content rules
- Allowed but tagged explicit: nudity, sexual content, swearing and crude adult jokes. The app hides these unless you turn on 18+ content and confirm your age.
- Allowed but tagged offensive: edgy or offensive humour. Also hidden by default. Severe hate goes to a person and may be removed.
- Never allowed: anything sexual involving a minor (it goes to a person and is never published automatically), gore and self-harm, and any illegal content. Known child sexual abuse material is blocked, reported, and the account banned.
Your choices
- Turn chat reading, anonymous data or 18+ content on or off in the app at any time.
- To delete your uploads or your account record, email [email protected] from any address and include a sticker ID from your dashboard.
Takedown and reports
If a sticker uses your work without permission or breaks these rules, email [email protected] with the sticker or a link and the reason, or long-press the sticker in the app and choose Report. We remove valid requests.
